How the app works

Tap any Arabic word to start the recitation from exactly that word. The word being recited is highlighted as it plays.

Hold the left edge of the screen to rewind while still hearing the recitation, so you can find the line you lost.

Listening mode (the headphones button) hides the text entirely, so you can recite from memory and check yourself against the audio.

The eye button hides the English translation, for testing yourself while still reading the Arabic.

Common questions

Audio will not play. The recitation streams from Quran.com, so it needs a connection. Check that your device is not on silent — the app plays through the ringer switch like any media app.

Can I change the reciter? Yes — the menu at the top left of the home screen, then Reciter. Only reciters with word-by-word timing are listed, because tapping a word to play from it depends on that timing.

Can I make the Arabic larger? Menu → Arabic size.

Where do my notes go? They stay on your iPhone and are not uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.

The quiz says there is nothing to ask. Open a surah first — the quiz draws its questions from the verses you have opened or listened to.
